Minaki Walleye Classic - Kenora Walleye Open Big Announcement - July 4th & 5th, 2015
Hello Minaki Walleye Classic Anglers, Volunteers, Sponsors and Friends,
Due to recent rule changes affecting the Winnipeg River Walleye fishery, it has become clear that I can no longer run my vision of a Walleye Tournament in Minaki. So now, after 7 great years I will be shutting down the Minaki Walleye Classic.
I have decided to start a new tournament called the Kenora Walleye Open on Lake of the Woods in Kenora, Ontario. I will host this new Catch & Release Walleye Tournament on the same weekend this year, July 4th & 5th in Kenora Ontario. There will be up to $80,000 in Cash and Prizes based on 100 teams.
All anglers who entered the 2015 Minaki Walleye Classic can choose to transfer their entries to the Kenora Walleye Open or get a full refund.
