2013 Quick Update

Hello Anglers,

I would like to thank Lund Boats for being our premier sponsor again in 2013.  Their continued support has been outstanding!

The annual Minaki Walleye Classic letter was mailed out last week and should be showing up in your mail boxes, if you would like to be included on our mailing list, please contact me.

There are over 40 teams entered for 2013 so far.

Jerry and Dar Woods are the 2012 Winners!

Congratulations to Jerry and Dar Woods on their win!  Their efforts net them the $10,000 top prize!

The final results and big fish standings have been updated.  Thanks to all the anglers, volunteers and sonsors for a great event!  We are processing hundreds of pictures and will post them soon.  Stay tuned!

Nice One!

The Big Ones were biting today!

Around noon today, Cliffy latched on to this hawg that measured 31 inches!  This beauty was roaming around on a mud flat in 27 feet of water.  We caught many fish on the same spot ranging from 16 inches to this 31 incher.  Water temp today was 67 degrees.

There are two spots still available for the Classic.  Call or email to sign up!

2 Weeks To Go!

Only 2 weeks to go until the 2012 Minaki Walleye Classic!  I went fishing today with my friend Mike Davey and was good!  Lots of slot sized fish biting in both the current and the lake.  The May Fly hatch is on but its definitely not affecting the Walleye bite.

Walleyes are already on their summer patterns with lots of them schooling up and easy to catch.

Water levels are close to normal... maybe slightly low in town but the current flow has really picked up in the last week which should bring the water level up.

Come back for a detailed report on Monday including water temps and hopefully some pics!

Please check out the new sponsor section!

See you on the water,

3 spots for new teams opened up!

Hello Anglers,

We're less than one month away until the 2012 Minaki Walleye Classic.  We had an early ice out this year in Minaki and the walleyes are already on the move to there traditional summer spots.

Preparations for the tournament are going great.  We have 3 spots that have just become available so if you are thinking of entering this year's Classic, this is your chance!

See you on the water,
